Accessibility & boarding assistance

Walk-On and Roll-on Passengers: - Boarding the ferry: All walk-on and roll-on passengers go through the passenger building second floor, accessible by two sets of stairs and three elevators, and proceed through the turnstiles to the north balcony where they connect to the overhead walkway to the ferry. - Leaving the ferry: Walk-on and roll-on passengers can exit from both ends of the building. The east end lets out at the transit center where buses pick up and drop off; the west end leads to the sidewalk toward downtown Mukilteo and Lighthouse Park. ADA pick-up drop-off location and parking spots: - There are two ADA-accessible parking spots inside the transit area/WSF staff parking lot at the east end of the terminal. To get to them, drive east on First Street past the entrance to the holding lanes. Do not turn into the holding lanes. The two marked ADA parking spots are inside the parking lot, nearest the terminal entry gate and east elevators.

Then, take the green bike lane to the staging area provided near the terminal’s maintenance building. The Mukilteo Ferry Terminal does not have bike racks. Bicyclists should arrive 20 minutes prior to departure time to be loaded at the beginning of loading process. If a bicyclist arrives after vehicle loading has begun, they will be loaded at the end of the load. Please walk your bike on and off the ferry to avoid passenger injury.

Motorcycle boarding

Motorcycles Arriving at Mukilteo Motorcyclists do not need to wait in the vehicle ferry line and can instead ride all the way down to just before the toll booth. A red light will stop you before you take a slight left into the ferry terminal. The employee at the tollbooth will direct motorcycles to the designated staging lane. Motorcycles should proceed, while on the dock, at no more than 10 mph. Use caution when the vessel car decks are wet. Motorcycle Loading The loading order at the Mukilteo ferry terminal is: bicycles, motorcycles, vehicles, and late arriving motorcycles as space permits. Motorcycles are not a preferential loading category of users, as defined in Washington Administrative Code (WAC 468-300-700). However, motorcycles are often loaded prior to other vehicles for operational and vehicle staging purposes. If you are on a motorcycle and arrive at the dock after vehicle loading has started, you will need to wait until all other vehicles have been loaded before being loaded with your motorcycle.
