• Kingston Terminal Status -1 Hour Wait, Boarding Pass Required

  There is an estimated one hour wait for drivers departing Kingston. An automated-issued boarding pass is required to purchase a ticket. To improve traffic flow through Kingston and deter ferry line cutting, a new traffic signal and two boarding pass dispensing machines are installed on SR 104 at Lindvog Road.  When in operation, a traffic signal will direct ferry traffic to a designated lane where drivers must take a boarding pass and wait for the signal directing them to the tollbooths. Overhead signs at the intersection of SR104 and Barber Cutoff Road will indicate when the system is in use.  System operating days and times  Standard operations: Beginning Monday, June 1, the system will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during these peak periods:  * Summer Season: Daily from Mother’s Day through Indigenous Peoples’ Day.  * Year-Round: Every Saturday and Sunday.  * Holidays: Daily during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.  Customer how-to and tips for the new system  When lights are flashing on the overhead signs at SR 104 and Barber Cutoff Road, the system is active:  * Follow the signal: Ferry-bound traffic will follow the traffic signal into a designated lane.  * Take a boarding pass: Stop at the automated dispenser and take your boarding pass. If you leave the line after taking a pass, you will need to re-enter the line and take a new pass.  * Wait for Green: Once the system detects space at the terminal, your light will turn green. The boarding pass holds your vehicle's place in line. Ferry tickets are purchased separately.  A boarding pass for vehicles is required before arriving at the terminal ticket booth 1.
