    Our fall sailing schedule [https://wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/] starts Sunday, Sept. 20 and lasts through Dec. 26.   * Port Townsend/Coupeville [https://wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/scheduledetailbyroute.aspx?route=pt-key]: The route will continue two-boat service until Oct. 5, when it returns to one-boat service until next spring. This is one week earlier than planned, due to vessel maintenance.   * Fauntleroy/Vashon/Southworth [https://wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/]: From early October through early November, the route will run a two-boat schedule with a third, unscheduled vessel while the Kittitas is out of service for maintenance.   All other routes will operate on their regular fall schedule, available online now [https://wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/].

    The traffic signal and boarding pass system [https://wsdotblog.blogspot.com/2026/04/smoother-sailing-in-kingston-new-sr-104.html] at the Kingston terminal is active daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Indigenous Peoples’ Day on Oct. 12. The boarding pass holds your vehicle's place in line. Ferry tickets are purchased separately.  A boarding pass for vehicles is required before arriving at the terminal ticket booth 1. Take a pass: Stop at the automated dispenser and take your pass. If you leave the line after taking a pass, you will need to re-enter the line and take a new pass.   3. Wait for Green: Once the system detects space at the terminal, your light will turn green. Proceed directly to the tollbooths.   Standard operating days and times  A boarding pass for vehicles is required from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. during these peak periods:   * Summer Season: Daily from Mother’s Day through Indigenous Peoples’ Day.   * Year-Round: Every Saturday and Sunday.   * Holidays: Daily during the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.   The purpose of this system is to help improve traffic flow through Kingston and deter ferry line cutting. We are monitoring how the system is working and will make adjustments as needed to improve operations.  

  • ADA Alert - Puyallup passenger elevator out of service

    The passenger elevator on the Puyallup is out of service.  Passengers with mobility issues can contact the crew to use the freight elevator. Accessible restrooms are also available on the sun deck. We'll provide updates as conditions change.
